Simca Type 315 - The Simca Type 315, commonly known as the Simca 1100 engine, was a four-cylinder OHV engine developed by Simca for use in its superminis and economy cars. In spite of its common name, the engine actually predates the Simca 1100 model, and debuted in 1961 in the Simca 1000 Coupé.

F-Head Engine - The term F-head engine specifies one valve arrangement for an internal combustion engine of the Otto cycle type. In this type of engine, the intake manifold and its valves are located atop the cylinders (in the cylinder head) and are operated by pushrods, but the exhaust manifold and its valves are located beside the cylinders (in the block).

Pushrod engine - A pushrod engine or overhead valve (OHV) engine is a type of piston engine that places the camshaft below the pistons (usually beside and slightly above the crankshaft in a straight engine or directly above the crankshaft in the V of a V engine) and uses pushrods or rods to actuate rocker arms above the cylinder head to actuate the valves. Lifters or tappets reside in the engine block between the camshaft and pushrods.

Orbital engine - The Sarich orbital engine is a type of internal combustion engine, featuring rotary rather than reciprocating motion of its internal parts. It differs from the conceptually similar Wankel engine by using a shaped rotor that rolls around the interior of the engine, rather than having a trilobular rotor that spins "in place".
